Contested over 267 laps on the 1.5 mile (2.4 km) oval, it was the 34th race of the2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, the eighth race of the Playoffs, and the second race of the Round of 8.Tyler Reddick won the race.Ryan Blaney finished 2nd, andDenny Hamlin finished 3rd.Christopher Bell andChase Elliott rounded out the top five, andWilliam Byron,Alex Bowman,A. J. Allmendinger,Carson Hocevar, andRyan Preece rounded out the top ten.

Homestead–Miami Speedway is amotor racing track located inHomestead, Florida. The track, which has several configurations, has promoted several series of racing, includingNASCAR, theNTT IndyCar Series and the Grand-AmRolex Sports Car Series.

From 2002 to 2019, Homestead–Miami Speedway hosted the final race of the season in all three ofNASCAR's series: theNASCAR Cup Series,Xfinity Series, andCraftsman Truck Series; due to Ford Motor Company sponsoring all three races the weekend was known as the 'Ford Championship Weekend'. The track has since held races on different dates in 2020 (June) and 2021 (February), which were both affected by theCOVID-19 pandemic, before being moved back into the Playoffs as the second race of the Round of 8 in 2022, with the date being kept for 2023.
