Republicans made a gain of one seat and broke the Democratic two-thirds supermajority, but they were unable to make further gains.The Nevada Independent partially attributed the underwhelming Republican gains to the impact of gerrymandering imposed by the Democratic-controlledNevada Legislature in 2021.[2]
