The2024 Massachusetts House of Representatives election was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with the primary election held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.[1]Massachusetts voters elected all 160 members of theState House to serve two-year terms in theMassachusetts General Court.[2] TheDemocratic Party retained their majority in the chamber with no net change in seats. The election coincided withUnited States national elections and Massachusetts state elections, includingU.S. Senate,U.S. House,U.S. President, andMassachusetts Senate.[3]
Fourteen incumbents did not seek re-election.
Two seats were left vacant on the day of the general election due to resignations in 2024.
Two incumbent representatives, one Democrat and one Republican, were defeated in the September 3 primary election.
