The2024 Leagues Cup final was the final match of thefourth edition of theLeagues Cup, asoccer tournament played between clubs fromMajor League Soccer (MLS) andLiga MX. The match was played on August 25, 2024 atLower.com Field inColumbus, Ohio, United States, by hostColumbus Crew andLos Angeles FC. Columbus won 3–1 with two goals fromCucho Hernández; the match was attended by 20,190 spectators.[2] It was a rematch ofMLS Cup 2023, which was also hosted by the Columbus Crew.[3]

The Crew won the MLS Cup and were given a bye through theLeagues Cup group stage with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They defeatedSporting Kansas City, defending championsInter Miami CF,New York City FC, and thePhiladelphia Union in the knockout rounds at home to reach their third tournament final in nine months.[4][5] Los Angeles FC finished second in their group and outscored their knockout stage opponents by a combined scoreline of 13–1.[6] They played all but one of their matches at home.[7]

The Leagues Cup final was played atLower.com Field, a 20,000-seat stadium inColumbus, Ohio. The stadium is one of the largestsoccer-specific venues in the United States and is home to Columbus Crew, who hosted due to being the defending MLS Cup champion.[8][9][10][11]

The final was broadcast worldwide in English and Spanish onMLS Season Pass, a streaming service run byApple as part of theirApple TV+ brand.[12] The English commentary team consisted of play-by-play commentatorJake Zivin, color analystTaylor Twellman, sideline reporterKatie Witham, and a studio team led by hostMaurice Edu. The Spanish commentary team included play-by-play announcer Sammy Sadovnik, color commentatorDiego Valeri, and sideline reporter Antonella González.TelevisaUnivision also produced a Spanish broadcast to be aired on television in the United States byTUDN andUnivision and in Mexico onCanal 5 and TUDN.
