The2024 Green Party presidential primaries and caucuses are a series of electoral contests to elect delegates to the2024 Green National Convention who will choose theGreen Party 's presidential nominee in the2024 presidential election . The convention was held as avirtual event from August 15 to 18, 2024.[ 2]
The Green Party hasrun candidates forpresident in every election since1996 . Consumer advocateRalph Nader was the party's nominee in1996 and2000 . Political activistDavid Cobb was nominated in 2004; former U.S. congresswomanCynthia McKinney was the nominee in2008 ; physician and activistJill Stein was nominated in2012 and2016 ; and activistHowie Hawkins was the Green nominee in2020 . Nader's 2.7% in 2000 remains the largest percentage of the vote any Green Party presidential candidate has won.
