The2024 Central European Rally (also known as theCentral Europe Rally 2024) was amotor racing event forrally cars held from 17 to 20 October 2024.[2] It marked the second running of theCentral European Rally, and is set to be the twelfth round of the2024 World Rally Championship,World Rally Championship-2 andWorld Rally Championship-3. The event was based inPassau,Bavaria,Germany, and was contested over eighteenspecial stages covering a total competitive distance of 302.51 km (187.97 mi).[1]
Thierry Neuville andMartijn Wydaeghe were the defending rally winners, and their team,Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT, were the defending manufacturers' winners.[3]Nicolas Ciamin andYannick Roche were the defending rally winners in the WRC-2 category.[4]Filip Kohn andTom Woodburn were the defending rally winners in the WRC-3 category.
Ott Tänak andMartin Järveoja won their second rally of the season, and their team, Hyundai, successfully defended their manufacturers' titles.[5]Nikolay Gryazin andKonstantin Aleksandrov were the winners in the World Rally Championship-2 category.[6]Mattéo Chatillon andMaxence Cornuau were the winners in the World Rally Championship-3 category.[7]
The following crews entered into the rally. The event was opened to crews competing in the World Rally Championship, itssupport categories, the World Rally Championship-2, World Rally Championship-3 andprivateer entries that were not registered to score points in any championship. Ten entered underRally1 regulations, as were fifteenRally2 crews in the World Rally Championship-2 and tenRally3 crew in the World Rally Championship-3.[8]
