AlthoughAmerican Samoa will not participate in the2024 presidential election because it is aU.S. territory and not astate, it participated in theU.S. presidential primaries and caucuses for both theDemocratic andRepublican parties.[2]

Democratic caucuses

The2024 American Samoa Democratic presidential caucuses were held on March 5, 2024, as part of theDemocratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 11 delegates to the2024 Democratic National Convention will be allocated to presidential candidates.[3] The contest was held onSuper Tuesday alongside primaries in 14 other states andterritories. It was initially reported by the American Samoa Democratic Party thatJason Palmer won four delegates, whileJoe Biden won two. The same day, the delegate count was corrected, with Palmer and Biden winning three delegates each.[4] Biden unexpectedly lost the popular vote to lesser-known candidate Palmer.[5]

The2024 American Samoa Republican presidential caucuses were held on March 8, 2024,[10] as part of theRepublican Party primaries for the2024 presidential election. 9 delegates to the2024 Republican National Convention will be allocated on a delegate selection basis.[10]
