The 2024–25 season was the 122nd season in the history ofGo Ahead Eagles, and the club's fourth consecutive season inEredivisie. In addition to the domestic league, the team was scheduled to participate in theKNVB Cup and theUEFA Conference League.[1]

During the off-season, managerRené Hake departed the club to become an assistant manager at English clubManchester United F.C.[2] Dutch coachPaul Simonis replaced Hake as head coach on 7 July 2024, signing a two-year contract.[3]
