On 21 June, Cardiff City announced their first four pre-season friendlies, againstKidderminster Harriers,KV Kortrijk,Penybont andReading.[68] Four days later, a fifth fixture was added, againstBristol Rovers.[69] In July, a pre-season training camp inAustria was announced along with friendly matches againstHamburger SV,Hertha BSC andMamelodi Sundowns.[70][71][72]
