The2024–25 season was the 56th season in the history ofAccrington Stanley Football Club and their second consecutive season inLeague Two. In addition to thedomestic league, the club also participated in theFA Cup, theEFL Cup, and the2024–25 EFL Trophy.

Accrington secured their stay in League Two with a win atWalsall in the penultimate round of the season.[1] This followed a fightback from being bottom of the league with no wins in the first eight games. The team also won more games on the road than at home, although more points were collected on home turf due to many drawn games. Notably, the season also featured Accrington playingPremier League leadersLiverpool atAnfield in front of 60,261 spectators in theFA Cup third round, with Liverpool winning 4–0.[2]

Pre-season and friendlies

On 16 May, Accrington confirmed their first two pre-season friendlies, againstBlackburn Rovers andWigan Athletic.[45] A week later, another two opposition were confirmed for the Reds' pre-season preparations, againstBarnsley andClitheroe.[46] In June a fifth friendly was added, againstLancaster City.[47]
