The2023 South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on 4 May 2023, to elect members of theSouth Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council inTyne and Wear,England.[4] This was on the same day as otherlocal elections.

Labour retained its majority on the council.[5][6]
