The2023 San Diego State Aztecs football team representedSan Diego State University as a member of theMountain West Conference during the2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by head coachBrady Hoke, who coached his sixth season with the team.[1] The Aztecs played their home games atSnapdragon Stadium inSan Diego, California.[2]

On November 13, 2023, Hoke announced that he would retire at the end of the regular season.[3] Hoke finished 40–32 (25–21 conference) in four seasons.

The San Diego State Aztecs football team drew an average home attendance of 24,832 in 2023.[4]
