The2023 season was theGreen Bay Packers' 103rd in theNational Football League (NFL), their 105th overall, their sixth under the leadership ofgeneral managerBrian Gutekunst and their fifth underhead coachMatt LaFleur.

For the first time since2004, quarterbackAaron Rodgers was not on the roster, as he was traded to theNew York Jets on April 26.[1] Rodgers, who had been the starter since2008, won fourNFL MVPs, led the team to fiveNFC Championship appearances (they lost four of them), and wonSuper Bowl XLV. This was the first season withJordan Love as the starting quarterback, who was picked in the first round of the2020 NFL draft.[2] Also, for the first time since2006, longtime kickerMason Crosby was not on the roster as he was not re-signed in the offseason.

Despite struggling in the first half of the season with a 3–6 record, the Packers would go 6–2 in their final eight games, improving on their 8–9 record from theprevious season and clinching the final NFC playoff berth, winning a three-way conference record and strength of victory tiebreaker with theNew Orleans Saints andSeattle Seahawks for the No. 7 seed, becoming the youngest team to make the playoffs since the NFL expanded to 16 games in 1978, tying the record previously set by the1980 Atlanta Falcons and the1987 Houston Oilers, who both made the playoffs with an average team member age of 25.2 years old.

In the Wild Card round, the Packers became the first seventh-seeded playoff team to win a playoff game when they defeated the second-seededDallas Cowboys 48–32, giving the Packers their first playoff win without Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers since1982.[3][4][5][6][7] They eventually lost to the eventual NFC championSan Francisco 49ers 24–21 in the Divisional round, marking the fifth time in 11 years that the 49ers ended the Packers postseason run.[8]

The Packers drew an average home attendance of 77,829 in 8 home games in the 2023 NFL season, the fourth-highest in the league.[9]
