The2023 Charleston Open (branded as the2023 Credit One Charleston Open for sponsorship reasons) was a professional women'stennis tournament played on outdoorclay courts at theFamily Circle Tennis Center onDaniel Island inCharleston, South Carolina. It was the 51st edition of thetournament on theWTA Tour and was classified as aWTA 500 tournament on the2023 WTA Tour. It was the only event of theclay court season played on green clay.[1]
This was Jabeur's fourth WTA Tour singles title, and first of the year. A tweener and slice combination played by her in the first set of the final was selected WTA 2023 Shot of the Year.[2]
