Pre-season and friendlies

Newcastle United confirmed their first pre-season friendly with a trip to Scotland to faceRangers.[41] The Magpies also announced a tour of theUnited States to take part in thePremier League Summer Series pre-season tournament, with matches againstAston Villa,Chelsea andBrighton & Hove Albion.[42] On 14 June, a fifth friendly match was confirmed, againstGateshead.[43] On 7 July, it was confirmed that the inaugural Sela Cup would take place at St James' Park during the first weekend of August, with Newcastle competing againstFiorentina andVillarreal on 5 and 6 August, respectively.[44]

In March 2024, it was announced that Newcastle United would travel toMelbourne, Australia for post-season matches againstTottenham Hotspur and theA-League All Stars Men on 22 and 24 May 2024, respectively.[45]
