The2022 Fr8 208 was the thirdstock car race of the2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the 17th iteration of theevent. The race was held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, inHampton, Georgia atAtlanta Motor Speedway, a 1.54 miles (2.48 km) permanent quad-oval racetrack. The race was run over 135 laps.Corey Heim ofKyle Busch Motorsports would win the race after getting a push to the lead by teammateJohn Hunter Nemechek on the last lap.^[1] This was Heim's first career win in the truck series. To fill out the podium,Ben Rhodes andTy Majeski ofThorSport Racing would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Atlanta Motor Speedway (formerlyAtlanta International Raceway) is a 1.54-mile race track inHampton, Georgia, United States, 20 miles (32 km) south ofAtlanta. It has annually hostedNASCAR Cup Series stock car races since its inauguration in 1960.

The venue was bought bySpeedway Motorsports in 1990. In 1994, 46condominiums were built over the northeastern side of the track. In 1997, to standardize the track with Speedway Motorsports' other two intermediate ovals, the entire track was almost completely rebuilt. The frontstretch and backstretch were swapped, and the configuration of the track was changed from oval to quad-oval, with a new official length of 1.54-mile (2.48 km) where before it was 1.522-mile (2.449 km). The project made the track one of the fastest on theNASCAR circuit. In July 2021NASCAR announced that the track would be reprofiled for the 2022 season to have 28 degrees of banking and would be narrowed from 55 to 40 feet which the track claims will turn racing at the track similar to restrictor plate superspeedways. Despite the reprofiling being criticized by drivers, construction began in August 2021 and wrapped up in December 2021.^[2][3] The track hasseating capacity of 71,000 to 125,000 people depending on the tracks configuration.

Friday's 50-minute practice session was cancelled due to inclement weather. Practice will replace qualifying on Saturday.^[4]Tyler Ankrum ofHattori Racing Enterprises would set the fastest time in the session, with a time of 30.527 seconds and a speed of 181.610 mph (292.273 km/h).^[5]

Qualifying will be cancelled because of a need to add additional practice to the reconfigured circuit. Starting lineup will be based on the rulebook. No one would fail to qualify for the race.Chandler Smith would get the pole for the race.
