The2022Auckland Council election was a local election held from September to 8 October in theAuckland Region of New Zealand as part of that year'snation-wide local elections. Voters elected themayor of Auckland, 20 councillors, 149 local board members (across 21local boards), and 35 licensing trustees (across 5licensing trusts) for the2022–2025 term. Postal voting and thefirst-past-the-post voting system were used.

The incumbent mayor,Phil Goff, did not stand for re-election.[2]

Council

Twenty members were to be elected to theAuckland Council, across thirteen wards, using thefirst past the post election system in single member wards andblock voting in multi-member wards.[3]
