The2022 Auburn Tigers football team representedAuburn University as a member of the Western Division of theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) during the2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by second-year head coachBryan Harsin until his firing on October 31. Later that day, former Auburnrunning backs coachCadillac Williams was appointed interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Auburn compiled an overall record of 5–7 with a mark of 2–6 in conference play, tying for fifth placed in the SEC Western Division. The team played home games atJordan–Hare Stadium inAuburn, Alabama.

The Tigers finished with their worst record since2012, their first time failing to qualify for a bowl game since that same year, and their first time finishing with consecutive losing records since1998 and1999.[1]
