The2022–23 SJHL season was the 55th season of theSaskatchewan Junior Hockey League. TheBattlefords North Stars won the league championshipCanterra Seeds Cup and went on to the2023 Centennial Cup national championship inPortage la Prairie, Manitoba.[1][2]
Battlefords North Stars head coach Brayden Klimosko received theCanadian Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year award.[3] The league reduced the number of regular season games from 58 to 56.[4] The league debuted its new championship trophy, theCanterra Seeds Cup.[5]
Teams played a 56-game schedule.[4] The top 8 teams at the end of the regular season advanced to the post-season.[6]

The 8 top-ranked teams at the end of the regular season qualified for the post-season.[6] The winners of each round were determined by a best-of-7 series.[6] In the final round, theBattlefords North Stars swept theFlin Flon Bombers in 4 games to win the Canterra Seeds Cup and advance to the2023 Centennial Cup national championship tournament in Portage laPortage la Prairie, Manitoba.[1][6] TheBattlefords North Stars went on to lose to theBrooks Bandits of theAJHL in the 2023 Centennial Cup final.[2]
