The2022–23 LSU Tigers women's basketball team representedLouisiana State University in the2022–23college basketball season. Led by second year head coachKim Mulkey, the team played their games atPete Maravich Assembly Center and are members of theSoutheastern Conference.[1][2] This team achieved numerous milestones for LSU women's basketball, including the team's first ever national championship and Final Four wins.[3][4]

Previous season

TheTigers finished the season 26–6 (13–3 SEC) to finish second in the conference. They lost in the quarterfinals ofSEC women's tournament. They received an at-large bid to theNCAA women's tournament as a 3rd seed in the Spokane regional where they defeatedJackson State in the first round before losing toOhio State in the second round.
