It was held concurrently with the2020 U.S. presidential election, along withelections to theUnited States Senate andUnited States House of Representatives, as well as variousstate and local elections. IncumbentRepublican Secretary of StateMac Warner won re-election to a second term by a much larger margin than expected.[1]
