Major attacks

TheAugust 2020 Mogadishu bombing was asuicidecar bombing on 8 August 2020 at the gates of the 12th April Army Brigademilitary base close to the recently reopenedMogadishu sports stadium in theWarta Nabadda district ofMogadishu.[1][2] The attack killed at least eight people and wounded fourteen others.[3] Thejihadist groupal-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.[4]
