The2019 VFL season was the 138th season of theVictorian Football League (VFL), a second-tierAustralian rules football competition played in the state ofVictoria. The season began on 5 April and concluded on 22 September, comprising an 18-match home-and-away season over 21 rounds, followed by a four-weekfinals series.

Richmond reserves won thepremiership for the first time, defeatingWilliamstown by three points in the2019 VFL Grand Final. It was Richmond's third overall VFA/VFL premiership, following premierships won by its senior team in1902 and1905.[1]
