The2019IAAF World Relays was held inYokohama,Japan from May 11 to May 12, 2019.[1] Two new events were established for 2019, both mixed events: the2 × 2 × 400 m relay and the shuttle hurdles relay.[2] The first event replaced the4 × 800 m relay that featured at previous events.[3]
