The2019–20 UCF Knights men's basketball team represented theUniversity of Central Florida during the2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Knights were members of theAmerican Athletic Conference. The Knights, in the program's 51st season of basketball, were led by fourth-year head coachJohnny Dawkins and played their home games at theAddition Financial Arena on the university's main campus inOrlando,Florida.[1]

Previous season

TheKnights finished the2018–19 season 24–9 overall and 13–5 inAAC play to finish in a tie for third place. In theAAC tournament, they lost toMemphis in the quarterfinals. They received an at-large bid to theNCAA tournament for the first time since 2005. They defeatedVCU in the first round before losingDuke in the second round.[2]
