The2018 Ohio Senate election was held on November 6, 2018, with the primary election held on May 8, 2018. Ohio voters elected state senators in the 17 odd-numberedOhio Senate districts. State senators elected in 2018 were eligible to serve a four-year term beginning January 2019 and ending December 2022. These elections coincided with elections forOhio governor, theOhio House, theU.S. House of Representatives, theU.S. Senate, andother statewide offices.

Despite a moderate statewide swing that allowed the Democrats to win the popular vote, the Republicans retained theirsupermajority of 24 seats in the Senate, compared to the Democrats' nine seats.
