The2018–19 Boston Celtics season was the 73rd season of the franchise in theNational Basketball Association (NBA).
In theplayoffs, the Celtics swept theIndiana Pacers in the First Round. It was the first time since2011 that the Celtics swept their opponent in the First Round. In the conference semifinals, the Celtics lost to theMilwaukee Bucks in five games.
Just days before the second round matchup with the Bucks, Celtics legendJohn Havlicek, died on Thursday, April 25 at the age of 79. The team wore a black band with a white #17 (in honor of Havlicek) for Game 1 of the semi-final series with the Bucks which the Celtics won.
