The2017 Tournament of Nations was the inauguralTournament of Nations, an international women'sfootball tournament, consisting of a series offriendly games.[1] It was held in theUnited States, from July 27 to August 3, 2017, and featured four teams.[2]
The tournament featured the national teams ofAustralia,Brazil,Japan, and the hosts, theUnited States, competing in a round-robin format, with each team playing every other once. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw, and none for a loss.[3] Current FIFA Ranking is important, as it is one of the tie-breaking criteria.
