The2017–18 EFL Championship (referred to as theSky Bet Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the second season of theEFL Championship under its current name, and the twenty-sixth season under its current league structure.

This season notably sawSunderland become the first English team to be relegated in successive seasons from the top division to the third tier since the championsWolverhampton Wanderers in2012 and2013, and only the third team to do so since the top division was relaunched as the Premier League in 1992.
