The2016 Fast5 Netball World Series was the 7thFast5 Netball World Series.Australia hostedEngland,Jamaica,Malawi,New Zealand andSouth Africa in a series, played in October 2016, atMelbourne'sHisense Arena.[1][2][3][4][5] With a team coached by Kiri Wills[6][7] and captained byMaria Tutaia, New Zealand won the series for the fourth time in a row with a comprehensive 41–16 win over Australia in the final.[8][9][10][11] Malawi finished third after defeating England 35–32 in a play-off.[12][13][14] In Australia, the series was broadcast live byNine's Wide World of Sports, via9Gem and9Now. The broadcast was hosted bySylvia Jeffreys, with a commentary panel that includedLiz Ellis,Laura Geitz,Sharni Layton,Sharelle McMahon andAnne Sargeant.[1][15] The series was also broadcast live bySky Sport in New Zealand[15] and onSky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland.[16]
