The2016 Connecticut Senate election was held on November 8, 2016, concurrently withthe elections for theConnecticut House of Representatives, to elect members to theConnecticut General Assembly. All 36 seats in theConnecticut Senate were up for election. The election resulted in a tie, with the parties controlling 18 seats each. Primary elections were held on August 9, 2016.[1][2]
