The2016 Albanian Supercup was the 23rd edition of theAlbanian Supercup, an annual Albanianfootball match. The teams were decided by taking the winner of the previous season'sAlbanian Superliga and the winner of theAlbanian Cup.
The match was contested bySkënderbeu Korçë, champions of the2015–16 Albanian Superliga, andKukësi, the2015–16 Albanian Cup winners. Due to the demolition of theQemal Stafa Stadium, the game was scheduled to be played at the newly reconstructedLoro Boriçi Stadium inShkodër but the inauguration of the stadium was postponed until the friendly betweenAlbania andMorocco on 31 August.[1] The venue for the game was theSelman Stërmasi Stadium inTirana, the home ofTirana,[2] and Kukësi won the game 3–1.[3] The game was broadcast throughDigitAlb'sSuperSport Albania.
