TheAl Anad Air Base missile attack was a strike carried out by the pro-SalehYemeni Army andHouthi militants with aballistic missile against a military camp in theAl Anad Air Base that was being used by troops of theSaudi-led coalition, inLahij Governorate.
Yemeni military loyal to andHouthi fighters targeted theAl Anad Air Base with aTochka ballistic missile, the strike inflicted numerous casualties on the coalition forces including Academi mercenaries.[2] Reports said that there were over 200 casualties[1] in the camp, including the new leader ofAcademi in Yemen US Colonel Nicholas Petros.[2] Military material was allegedly destroyed, including Saudi led coalitionApaches.[citation needed]
Houthi forces launched another attack onAlanad Air Base in 2019 using drones.[citation needed]
