The2013 season is the 92nd season inEl Salvador's history, their 75th inFIFA and 51st inCONCACAF. As of December 2012, the team was managed byAgustín Castillo.

Most of January 2013 was spent playing in the2013 Copa Centroamericana. El Salvador reached the semi-finals, lost, and took part in the third-place finals. They finished in third place but were able to qualify for the2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
