The2012 National Football Challenge Cup was the 22nd edition ofNational Football Challenge Cup, the domestic cup competition inPakistani football. The edition was sponsored byKarachi Port Trust,[1] therefore, it was also known as the2012 KPT Challenge Cup.[2]
The tournament was held inKarachi, from 11 to 23 March 2012 withKPT Stadium andPeople's Football Stadium hosting all the matches.
Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, having won their third title theprevious year after defeatingNational Bank 1–0 in the finals.
Khan Research Laboratories successfully defended their title when they defeatedKarachi Electric Supply Corporation 3–1 onpenalties after the game had remained goalless at the conclusion ofextra-time.
