Road racing season
Sandro Cortese was the 2012 Moto3 Champion.The2012 FIM Moto3 World Championship was a part of the 64thF.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. It was the inaugural season of Moto3.
The inaugural Moto3 world championship title went to German riderSandro Cortese , following his fourth victory of the season at theMalaysian Grand Prix ,[ 1] Luis Salom andMaverick Viñales in the championship race.[ 2] KTM .[ 3] Australian Grand Prix , doing so after Cortese won the race.
The 2012 season also saw the introduction of four-stroke bikes in the new Moto3 class.[ 4]
