The2012 Miami Marlins season was the 20th season for theMajor League Baseball franchise. TheMarlins moved intoMarlins Park for the 2012 season; as part of the agreement, they changed their name from the "Florida Marlins" to the "Miami Marlins". They failed to make the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season.[1][2]
