The2011 UEFA Super Cup was the 36thUEFA Super Cup, between the reigning champions of the two club competitions organised by theEuropeanfootball governing bodyUEFA: theUEFA Champions League and theUEFA Europa League. It took place at theStade Louis II inMonaco on 26 August 2011.[5][6] It was contested by the2010–11 UEFA Champions League winnersBarcelona ofSpain and the2010–11 UEFA Europa League winnersPorto ofPortugal.[7] Barcelona won the title defeating Porto 2–0.[8][9]

Venue

TheStade Louis II inMonaco has been the venue for the UEFA Super Cup every year since 1998. Built in 1985, the stadium is also the home ofAS Monaco, who play in the French league system.
