The 2011–12 season sawLivingston compete in their first season back in theFirst Division, having been promoted after winning theScottish Second Division during season 2010–11.[1] They also competed in theChallenge Cup,League Cup and theScottish Cup.

Summary

Livingston finished fifth in theFirst Division.[2] They reached the Semi Final of theChallenge Cup,[3] the second round of theLeague Cup[4] and the fourth round of theScottish Cup.[5]

Managers

On 5 February 2012Gary Bollan was sacked by the club,[6] withBrian Welsh being appointed as caretaker manager.[7] Welsh led the club for one game before emigrating to America[8] and on 14 FebruaryJohn Hughes was appointed as manager withJohn Collins being appointed Director of football.[9]
