The2011–12 season wasFalkirk's second consecutive season in theScottish First Division, having been relegated from theScottish Premier League at the end of season2009–10.[1] Falkirk also competed in theChallenge Cup,League Cup and theScottish Cup.
Falkirk finished third in theFirst Division.[2] They reached the semi-final of theLeague Cup,[3] the fifth round of theScottish Cup,[4] and won theChallenge Cup beatingHamilton 1–0 in the final.[5]
