The2006 Missouri State Auditor election was held on 7 November 2006 in order to elect thestate auditor of Missouri.Democratic nomineeSusan Montee defeatedRepublican nominee Sandra Thomas,Libertarian nominee Charles Baum andProgressive nominee Terry Bunker.[1]
On election day, 7 November 2006,Democratic nomineeSusan Montee won the election by a margin of 196,781 votes against her foremost opponentRepublican nominee Sandra Thomas, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of state auditor. Montee was sworn in as the 35thstate auditor of Missouri on 3 January 2007.[2]
