2006 BZ8 is a darkcentaur anddamocloid on aretrograde and highly eccentric orbit from the outer region of theSolar System. It was first observed on 23 January 2006 by theCatalina Sky Survey at theCatalina Station nearTucson, Arizona, United States. It has not been observed since 2008.[1] Thisunusual object is estimated around 9–23.5 kilometers (5.6–15 miles) in diameter.[5]

[edit]
  1. ^Linear fit of CSSV-bandphotometry using a phase slope ofβ =0.054±0.008 mag per degree ofphase angle.[5]
  2. ^Two-parameter H-G modeling ofV-band CSSphotometry takes theopposition effect into account, yielding an absolute magnitude ofH =13.82±0.15 and a slope parameter ofG =−0.12±0.10.[5]
