The2006–07 National First Division (known as theMvela Golden League for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of theNational First Division, the second tier of South Africansoccer.
The champions wereFree State Stars, who finished eighteen points ahead of their nearest rivals, and were promoted to theSouth African Premier Division.[1][2]
PJ Stars Kings were deducted 15 points bySAFA for using unregistered players, and as a result suffered relegation to theSAFA Second Division.Nathi Lions andCity Pillars were deducted 1 point and 4 points respectively for the same reason.[3][4]
