The2003 Southend-on-Sea Borough Council election took place on 1 May 2003 to elect members ofSouthend-on-Sea Borough Council inEssex,England. One third of the council was up for election and theConservative party stayed in overall control of the council.[1][2]

Summary

The results saw the Conservatives keep control of the council with a slightly reduced majority of 13 seats.[3] The only changes saw the Conservatives lose one seat to theLiberal Democrats in St Laurenceward and anindependent candidate gain Westborough from theLabour party.[3]
