2003 UK local government election

Map of the results of the 2003 Carlisle City Council election.Conservatives in blue,Labour in red andLiberal Democrats in yellow. Wards in grey were not contested in 2003.

The2003 Carlisle City Council election took place on 1 May 2003 to elect members ofCarlisleDistrict Council inCumbria,England. One third of the council was up for election and theConservative Party lost overall control of the council tono overall control.[1]

Overallturnout at the election was 31.4%, slightly down from the 31.7% in 2002.[3]
