The2003–04 season wasTottenham Hotspur's 12th season in thePremier League and 26th successive season in the top division of theEnglish football league system. The club also participated in theFA Cup and theFootball League Cup.
A dismal start to the season costGlenn Hoddle his job and he was sacked as manager on 21 September after two-and-a-half years at the helm.[1] Director of FootballDavid Pleat took over first team duties until the end of the season,[2] but was unable to inspire Tottenham to a challenge for European qualification, nor either of the cup competitions, and a 14th-place finish in the final table was Tottenham's lowest since 1998.
Note: Flags indicate national team as defined underFIFA eligibility rules; some limited exceptions apply. Players may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality.
