The2001–02 Connecticut Huskies men's basketball team represented theUniversity of Connecticut in the 2001–02 collegiate men's basketball season. The Huskies completed the season with a 27–7 overall record. The Huskies were members of theBig East Conference where they finished with a 13–3 record, were the regular season champions, and were the2002 Big East men's basketball tournament champions.

UConn made it to the Elite Eight of the2002 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament before losing to Maryland 90–82. The Huskies played their home games atHarry A. Gampel Pavilion inStorrs, Connecticut and theHartford Civic Center inHartford, Connecticut, and they were led by sixteenth-year head coachJim Calhoun.[2][3]
