The2000–01 season was the 104th season of competitivefootball in Scotland.[1]
The 2000–01Scottish Premier League was won byCeltic, 15 points clear ofRangers who finished second. Both teams earned a place in theUEFA Champions League.Hibernian andKilmarnock finished third and fourth and both therefore earnedUEFA Europa League berths.St Mirren were relegated in their first season in the top-flight since the1991–92 season.
