2-Tetrahydrofurylethylamine (TH-FEA or2-(2-tetrahydrofuryl)ethylamine) is adrug related to thearylalkylamines.[1]Analogues include2-furylethylamine (FEA),2-pyrrolylethylamine (NEA),β-phenethylamine,amphetamine, andthiopropamine, among others.[1] A fewderivatives of TH-FEA are known.[1] The compound ispharmacologically active, producing a strong constricting effect on theuterus.[1][2] TH-FEA was first described in thescientific literature by 1920.[1]
