The1999 Seattle Seahawks season was the franchise's 24th season in theNational Football League (NFL), the last playing their home games at theKingdome and the first under head coachMike Holmgren. It was also the first season that Seattle made the playoffs ineleven seasons. It would be Seattle's last playoff appearance as anAmerican Football Conference (AFC) team. They would not return to the playoffs until2003, after being moved to theNational Football Conference (NFC).

Seattle finished out the season with a 9-7 record, which tied them atop a very weak AFC West with theKansas City Chiefs, but the Seahawks won the tiebreaker over the Chiefs because they beat them twice in the regular season. In their final game at the Kingdome, the Seahawks lost to theMiami Dolphins in what turned out to be the final career playoff win forDan Marino.

Beginning the next season, the Seahawks played their home games atHusky Stadium while construction forLumen Field was taking place. They didn't move into their new and current home until the2002 season.
